As a fast paced and expanding heavy equipment distributor, Hoffman Equipment is looking to fill a sales representative position in our North Jersey corporate location. Hoffman Equipment is a supplier of high quality earthmoving and lifting equipment throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The sales position is responsible for selling and renting equipment, as well as general account management, for a specific geographic region.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Onsite calls and interaction with established and prospected customer in AOR
• Cold calls to jobsite and office locations throughout AOR
• Executing all related paperwork for rental, demonstration and sale transactions
• Onsite set up and instructional overview of all rental and sale transactions
• Coordination of demonstration / rental / sales activity with logistics and product support
• Product support communication and coordination with Hoffman product support team
• Sales and rental communication and coordination with Hoffman sales and rental team
• Marketing communication and coordination with marketing team to highlight and promote Hoffman’s product line
• Customer account management to ensure customer satisfaction, including receivable collection and disputes

SALES REPRESENTATIVE REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
• Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.

• Experience with customer relationship management software and an overall working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet management.
• Daily travel required – applicant to have vehicle (car/truck)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
